Farmer's Market

A few weeks ago we got a postcard in the mail saying that the local Children's Hospital would be hosting a farmer's market in one of their parking lots.  They will be having these once a month from now until the beginning of October.  I was so excited to see what they would have.

So I put Murphy Man in his stroller and armed with my diaper bag and a bottle of water we walked the two blocks to the market.  It was so hot but we made it.

When you walk into the gate they have a welcome center where they have you sign in.  They have you say whether you are a family in the neighborhood or if you work at the hospital or niether.  Then you guess at how much you will be spending.  Afterward they give you a bottle of water and you can get a reusable grocery bag as well.

In all there were about six stands in all.  All of them had fruits and vegetables and one was selling organic cheese and ice cream.  They were giving away free samples and were completely swamped!  Murphy and I couldn't even muscle our way through so we didn't get to see a whole lot there.

We moved on to a quiet stand that had corn on the cob, eggplant, squash, green peppers, and peaches.  Murphy helped me pick out all of our stuff.  The girls were super nice and we had a great time.  I can't wait to go back next month.
