Guest Post: Easy Strawberry Pie

Today I have the first in a group of guests to make this Fruit Festival even more special.

Julee from Mommy's Memorandom.

I hope you all enjoy her recipe and get a chance to stop by and check out her blog as well.

Gosh, every time I go to the grocery store, there's been a big rack of really ripe or molding strawberries for a ridiculous price that I can't resist. I buy them, bring them home, wash and cut them and stick them in the freezer. Today the freezer needed cleaning out so I made this super easy Strawberry Pie.

1 cup sugar
3 Tablespoons Cornstarch
1 Cup Water
3 Tablespoons strawberry-flavored gelatin powder
4 cups strawberries
1 pie shell (9-inch) baked
Whipped Cream

Mix the sugar, cornstarch and water in saucepan, stir constantly, cooking until thickened.

Remove from heat, stir in gelatin until dissolved.

Pour over strawberries, mix well.

Pour mixture into pie shell, refrigerate until set.

Top with whipping cream or topping.

Makes 6-8 servings!

Told you it was easy!

Thank you so much Julee for your recipe.

I hope you all come back for the Recipe Swap I'll be hosting Wednesday July 28th.  Write up a blog post featuring a recipe you love that includes fresh fruit and then link up here.
